Brisbane Hammers Away Day Weekender

Postby Dave on Mon Jul 14, 2008 9:34 am

Now this may or may not work depending on factors such as A-League fixtures but this is something I've been thinking about for a little while.

Brisbane Hammers enmasse down to Adelaide to see Queensland Roar take on Adelaide at Hindmarsh. Followed by a big meet with the Adelaide Hammers to watch the mighty Hammers.

What do people think??

This wouldn't just be ristricted to Brisbane / Adelaide Hammers - If anybody from Sydney or Melbourne or wherever else wanted to join us then great!

Yeah I'd be interested in that. Don't really care about the roar, I'm a Gold Coast Galaxy man myself. ;) Now there's a rivalry in the making!

The Pig 'N' Whistle. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious

the choice of fixture is kinda Meh (as you can imagine from a Sydney FC supporter) but with the Irons on afterwards id seriously consider it. Depends when though cos ive got uni coming up soon, money constraints etc

Yeah depending on how many people are going, I might be in too - It'd be a chance to cross Adelaide off the list of places in Australia that I will only ever visit once :P

Like I say depends on a number of factors based mainly around the fixture list. When are you coming over - you got it booked yet?

As others have said, I'd be keen, depending on the factors.

Dave, obviously its still up in the open, but would I be correct in assuming it would a case of 'leave Friday night & get back sometime Sunday'?

Nothing booked as yet....Hopefully looking at October so I can get in the Newcastle game before we leave.

I will need to jack up a couple of interviews before I jet over to give myself a fighting chance of any work.
