I can only echo what has been said by Dave, Norven & WhuBris.
On a personal note, some of you may know that I unfortunately have a serious back problem. One op last year and looks like a major one on the horizon
Because of my back, I haven't been to the Pig since that amazing cup final against Liverpool that WhuBris talked about. He's right, after the game a number of Liverpool fans turned around and shook my hand and there was a genuine warmth between two sets of fans who had managed to overcome their rivalry and just be enthralled by the game that they had witnessed together.
One day, I hope to make it down to the Pig to see some of you lot again but can't say I'm looking forward to it while this aggression towards rival teams exists. I'm not after any special treatment cos of my back (although a comfy seat would be nice!) but I do expect to be able to sing my heart out, get bladdered with my West Ham brethren and have some good light hearted jibes with the opposition without it resorting to violence.
Bret, you obviously have a right to form whatever MySpace group you want but you don't have the right to use anything that belongs to the Brisbane Hammers. If you're reading these posts I suggest that if you want to continue with your MySpace group you should disassociate it completely with Brisbane Hammers , in name reference and logo. It is the least you should do out of respect for the founders of this group, Dave, Norven & WhuBris & the rest of us who don't wish to be associated with any group whose purpose seems to be based purely on violence.

I think one of the more insulting things is that the page is for "loyalists."

Now, I may not be a West Ham fan, but I know that everyone here is as loyal a fan as you can get. That's the whole reason they come to these forums: To talk to other fans about their favourite club. If I were Dave, NM and whubris I'd be getting really pissed off that someone had gone and created another page, and called themselves the "loyalists".

Just remember that if these dedicated guys hadn't taken the time and effort to start up a Brisbane based fan club, then there more than likely wouldn't be one. Then where would you go to watch the games? I don't think the Pig would be as forgiving as they have been in the past if we didn't have Dave to smooth things over.

I agree with what beex said: It's fine for you to have a myspace page, just don't associate it with the Brisbane Hammers, because at the end of the day it's Dave that gets the phonecalls from the Pig, and has to deal with the shit that is created by everyone else.

alot of wat u people have said makes sense....

1. i shouldnt have taken the logo for use without asking dave
2. the mention of the word RUCK also puts bad thots into a lot of supporters minds...

but ruck to many is a fight but can also be used in the term of the bois goin mental and avin a top nite... it does not necessarily mean a fight

and as far as i can remember dave, im always shaking the opponents hands after games and "my bois" have never actually got into a fight at pig and given the management any reason to doubt us...

was speaking to richie last nite and he says he loves "my bois", cuz we always passionate but still talk to opponents.... we did that last nite, had a banter wif scouse and still shook their hands after... no ruck!!

as far as i knw the only fite inside pig was instigated by u ... against rangers.... and if u remember clearly i was the fucker separating rangers lads from u and tony... not tryin to bring the past up but just lettin u knw our only fite happened in pig and YOU was in it!!

i started the myspace to get more supporters of west ham in brisbane to come out and also at the same time let people in london(alot of my mates in london wana know bout us) know of our activities ... nufin wrong wif dat is it?? fair enuff the logo is urs so i'll take it off....

It's very true that I have backed up a number of individuals to the pig and dealt over the phone to the pig after incidents.

You have several issues wrong here.

1) I had Little - close to Nothing to do with the Rangers fight and threw no punches. You are bang out of order saying I instigated this - I'm not going into it but I think you need to recollect the incident a little better. Who twated that Rangers guy? Wasn't me or Tony was it. It was none of us. Tony has appologised over and again for his part and shouldn't be hung out to dry for it again - I think you need to think a little harder about my involvement because I wasn't being seperated from anybody - Arj has already confirmed this from the Video evidence.

2) The Rangers issue has nothing to do with this! Why have you even brought this up?? If you think this is an issue you are missing the point.

3) Regardless of your interpretation of the word "ruck" I think we all know the popular interpretation. An interpretation that jepordises the reputation of the Brisbane Hammers which most people on here take issue with.

4) I am well aware of and generally happy with your general behaviour in the pig n whistle. This all the more suggests that it is silly for you to talk up the suggestion that you are out for trouble. Regardless of how you interpret ruck you do make it sound like you are out for trouble. Why would you want to do this - it's not doing you or us any favours.

5) Loyalists does suggest a seperatist group. Are you not happy with being part of what we have created? Read what xloserfishx (Josh) has said - what is your response to this?

6) One thing I want to get absolutely straight here. I like you. I have little issues with you generally. I have backed you on a number of occasions so please do not take any of this as personal attacks on you - it is not. I feel we have a right to be unhappy and protect the reputation of something we have worked very hard for many years to create.

Mate - look forward to discussing but I'm already alot more pleased due to the fact that you've removed some of the things we've discussed on here. Like you say better dealt with face to face. You can remove that bit about it being formed "by Dave" in the meantime - it's not individual credit I'm after it's collective credit and the need to preserve Brisbane Hammers reputation.

We can work on a blurb for the history of the Brisbane Hammers for your myspace when we discuss it. The main thing is we don't promote that we're after trouble and I'm glad you've emliminated that.

On a personal note I think you're a good lad and you have plenty of positive stuff to contribute to the Brisbane Hammers community.
