Tezza, I hear your fear brother. History shows us cocking these fixtures up time & again.
Hopefully Zola can rally the lads & avoid another Boro display.
I'm plumping for 0-0 (hope I'm wrong)

No Cole, Behrami or Collison worries me. Savio should start upfront with DDM. Dodgy 1-0 win with Parker to score.

Green

Neill
Tomkins
Upson
Ilunga

Noble
Kovac
Parker
LBM/Savio

DDM
Savio/Tristan/Sears...........COME ON YOU IRONS!!!!!!!!!!!

2-0....Is zola registered as a player?

I feel 0-0 ..11 men behind the ball Cant find a way through...
Nope Im gonna be positive 2-1.....

See this is one of those fixtures where I know we should win but old ghosts die hard, maybe the tide has turned with mr positive at the helm...2-1 it is then 42 points and positive goal difference

I hope we punish WBA, it would really lift moral with all the recent injuries.

I didn't see the whole game due to the absence of a decent stream but saw most of the 2nd half.

I reckon it's a better point than most will give credit for. Think of all the players out, we have nobody who can score goals so best we could hope for was a clean sheet which we got so a point well won and we're on the magic 40 points . Considering some months ago people were talking relegation we've done very well to be all but safe right now.

True Dave, if we were away from home people would say a hard earned point but we were at home and were crap.
Even with injuries, we should and have to learn to bury teams like West Brom.
The only positive for me was at least we didn't lose.
End of

I think we played poorly. We turned over a lot of possession and were lacking up front. It’s good that the youngsters such as Sears, Tomkins and Stanislas got a run.
WBA definitely had the better opportunities and the Hammers were lucky not to be down by one (Thank God for the cross bar).
I was quite disappointed when Upson went off injured. He has been solid for us all season and was sorely missed at the back.
With the 1 point from today, now takes us to the total of 40. You got to be happy with that.
I suppose we just have to regroup and try and put in a better performance at Blackburn.

I'm with you Beexie, can't be cheerful about getting a draw with the worst team in the league and at home.

It was like pulling fucking teeth, after the first 5 mins it was always going to be a 0-0. We were shit, but lucky for us so were they. If it was any other team in the prem, we would have got done.
Beex is right, the only positive is we didn't lose.

Got home from work at 4AM (ratshit) & thought I'd make myself stay up for this match. Man, that sleep would have been good.
Woeful performance against crap opposition (again). From the performance, the following opinions;
Good :-
- Kovac & Tomkins our best performers. Parker a little down on recent form & Green did what he had to do. Sears & Neill acceptable.
- A chance to see Stanislas & he did OK.
Average :-
- Savio's first start. Was highly disappointing. Either gave possession away or was muscled off the ball. Got to realise the kid's 19 & I think we are yet to work out where he is best suited. Maybe stick with him as an impact player off of bench. I still think he is a good prospect.
Poor :-
- As much as I would like it to be different, I am now fully convinced that DDM is a waste of space. Workrate is fine, but just makes wrong decisions continually & lets not forget that he can't score goals (which I thought would have been prominent on his position description when he joined).
- poor performances from Ilunga, Spector, Noble.
Tragic :-
- whilst the extent is not known, watching Upson being stretchered off was a major concern. Fingers crossed on that front.

In summary - a typical Hammers performance against opposition everyone else is using as cannon fodder.
Yeah, we have reached 40 points & (at times) played some superb passing football, but the inconsistency & the lack of quality depth & strikepower are a major concern. Should we make it into Europe, we need to seriously think about the make up of the squad.

Absolutely bloody pathetic I watched the last 1/2 hour, but should of stayed in bed, I could not make out who was playing for a draw. I thought Sears and Di Michele attacking down the left wing were good but every time the cross came into the box there was no 0ne at home , where was Zola urging his players on and getting stuck into them for such glaring deficiencies , the look on the West ham fans faces said it all, at least it was a night away from the missus and with nothing on tv, but to pay 35 smackers for that load of cods wallop, I don't think so.
