So I watched Green Street Hooligans with some mates for the first time last night.
What's the deal with the Bubbles song? Where does that come from? I see bubbles on the WHU official website as well, so I'm going to guess that if not the song itself, then the 'bubbles' theme is genuinely West Ham. But I don't get it..

Just looked up Wikepedia. First sang by visiting Swansea fans in 1921/22 FA cup. It took 3 replays to get the result so the Hammers had heard it and was in their memory. Late manager Charlie Paynter picked it up in the late twenties as one of our players (Billy J "bubbles" Murray had a striking resemblence to the boy in the famous bubbles painting by Millais. Looks like it stuck from there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wik/I'm_forever_blowing_bubbles

I'm happy to get with it...I just wanted to know what I was getting with...I just didn't get the association between Bubble and West Ham.
Having listened to it a few times now on youtube and the like, and knowing what the background is, I actually quite like it.

Yeah. I like it, and can't wait to get over there to sing it in the ground either.
