No I don't live in the Shire. I from the St George area but have supported the Sharks for a very long time.
I would really like to see the Hammers do well this year, I am hoping they get a UEFA cup birth.

I've added a few posts, so thought I'd better introduce myself.

Your West Ham experience: I was born about 2 miles from Upton Park. We lived in Cobham Road Ilford. Our whole family is strictly West ham, my uncles was unbelievebly the Arse. Family rivalry was intense. We 'transported' in 1969 to Sydney.
First game: Been watching games for as long as I can remember. Brooking was my favourite naturally, but enjoyed seeing Lampard and Bonds push forward. The one game I clearly remember was the 1975 final.
Visits to Upton Park: I actually visited the ground, and organised tickets in 1986, when I was over in England on RAAF business. Hammers V the Pool!, absolutely shattered when I got called back to Oxford the day before the match, AWOL was running through my mind I assure you.
Other West Ham related info: Whilst I've been to the hallowed ground, I've never seen a ball kicked in anger. Maybe one day. My father and brother have been of course, and I chat with my brother Dave at every oppurtunity about the club at family do's. Curiously I have seen Arsenal play, and whilst it was enjoyable, it just wasn't the same.
Footnote: My partner & I have dogs, no kids, just dogs. Therebetter behaved, and don't cost a shitload in school fee's

I've posted a few comments in the last few weeks, but only just discovered this thread. Here's my vital stats...
Username: AB
Real Name: Aran
Age: 33
Sex: Male
Location: Melbourne
Years supported West Ham: 22 (I was won over by Tony Cottee, Mark Wark and others in the 1986 season)
Your West Ham experience: I grew up in NZ so my early West Ham experiences were restricted to a weekly 1 hour highlights package on TV ('Big League Soccer') and my weekly subscription to 'Shoot' magazine. But I spent 6 years in London from mid 2000 - so I got a good fix of all things West Ham during that time.
First game: FA Cup fourth round, 2001 at Old Trafford. Paolo DiCanio beat the offside trap to score the winner (0-1). I was sitting in the main stand with a mate of mine (a ManU supporter) and surrounded by thousands of other ManU supporters. It was glorious!
Visits to Upton Park: I got along to quite a few games between 2001-2006, but none as memorable as the trip to Old Trafford (above). Oh yeah, and just before I left London I took my fiancee (who's not a sports fan at all) for a night at the West Ham United Hotel. We had dinner at the 'Ironworks Pub', strolled down and took photos of the Bobby Moore statue, and slept overlooking the pitch!! (how romantic am I!?)
Non West Ham Stuff: While I was in London I spent a couple of years working on the (Arsenal) Emirates Stadium project. The last match I went to in London was the first Premiership match at the new Stadium (Arse 1-1 vs Villa). It's a great stadium (just a shame about the team that plays there!). Somewhere I've got a shirt which I had signed by Robert Pires.
