However, I must confess that some of the transfer rumours like the Duff one make me wanna start laying into Curbs again. Surely he's learned from last year that we can't keep buying players with bad injury records.
Well he hasn't signed him yet so don't jump on him yet FFS! Like I said IF he signs Duff he needs his head read - just another Dyer IMO - great player on paper but never fit.
I'm not inspired by the Wilhelmson rumour either - sounds like he's been rejected by just about every team in Europe.

Hughes can fuck off as well!

Why don't they all fuck off and leave us alone?
For all his shortcomings, Lucas is an experienced EPL player who would be invaluable playing alongside youngsters like Tomkins the Eyjolfsson.
I would also like to see Bellars consistently running around for us before we offload him. He would also be a good mentor for Sears. (On the pitch only I hope)

Mate these are all really shitty sources - I wouldn't worry - just bored journos with nothing to write about West Ham right now so making shit up.

I know there is a lot of rubbish doing the rounds at the moment, but it's taking me a while to get back into the swing of things here at the office after 4 weeks overseas so I spend my day reading this crap and getting all worked up.

steady on Dave...you opened the door to criticising Curbs...."Curbs deserves the chop if he'd be so stupid. He can't prance around saying all my signings are injured if he goes in for players like this."
All Beexie did was make a similar comment "However, I must confess that some of the transfer rumours like the Duff one make me wanna start laying into Curbs again. Surely he's learned from last year that we can't keep buying players with bad injury records. "
I know you said hopefully it's just a rumour...but I couldn't see a lot of different between your sentiments and Beexie's...
Personally I think his *proven* track record for prefering and signing crocks is enough to justify genuine concern when we are linked with crocks now...perhaps it is a load of bollox spun by bored journos but I'd feel a lot more comfortable if he hadn't set several precedents already.
And in general he's gonna get fuck all patience and leniency from me if he has virtually the full squad available and he doesn't excite the tits off me in these first 6 or 8 games against teams we need to be beating...
I'd be a whole fucking lot more optimistic if we were heading into this season with Martin O'Neill or Ramos....

Nah not much difference at all I wasn't having a go at beexie I kind of meant lets not have a go at him yet including myself wasn't meant to be directed at beex more all of us. Don't think I worded it well and perhaps looks more accusatory than I meant. There's hundreds of rumours and until they materialise into something more concrete it's hard to say curbs is a cunt or not. My sentiment was that I'd be seriously concerned if he was to make a signing like this considering his current track record of signing crocks. My gut feeling is quite negative towards this offseason's transfer dealings but I don't want to complain too much as there's still a month and a half to go.
I don't know what I'm more concerned about though - all the stupid reports linking us with shitty players (it's silly season and this is to be expected though) or the fact we've done nothing so far. If we've still not signed any quality players by the end of the month I'm gonna start getting a bit twitchy.

Tell me about it mate, were getting left behind. Look at who the yids & pompey have brought in and villa are getting linked with some quality.
Forget about us challenging for europe this season. Top Half finish if were lucky.
Andrew Johnson = CURBS OUT!

As I say though it is silly season. For all the links Man City Everton and Blackburn have done nothing either. Even Arsenal and Liverpool are yet to sign anybody I think. I think what makes us a bit unique is we seem prepared to let players go and seem to be showing signs of complacency. Fucked if I know what's going on - roll on the start of the season - I'll be happy once the transfer window is shut I think - getting fed up of stupid rumours.

Duff, in the meanwhile, has endured a fairly frustrating time in Tynseside since joining Newcastle United from Chelsea, with his two-year spell blighted by persistent injuries.Blighted by persistent injuries! Are we just a dumping ground for Newcastle's high paid injured players???? Curbs deserves the chop if he'd be so stupid. He can't prance around saying all my signings are injured if he goes in for players like this. Hopefully it is nothing but a stupid rumour. On Bobby I'm very sad to see him go. I know it's reasonable money but still sorry to see him leave. Well said that man! Very sad about Bobby too but can see it from his point of view. No way on Duff and 6.5 mil is Damn good money for Bobby, sad to see him go but we would never have got that for Cole

Hammers sign 'Swiss Beckham' Behrami, signalling Neill switch to Man City
Lucas Neill moved a step closer to joining Manchester City last night after West Ham agreed a deal with Lazio right-back Valon Behrami.
The 23-year old Switzerland defender flew into London for a medical after activating a FIFA rule that will allow him to become a West Ham player for a fraction of Lazio’s original asking price.
West Ham will sign Behrami for less than a third of his initial £11m valuation after he informed Lazio he was invoking article 17, which gives players nearing the end of their contracts the right to move on without costing a fee.
Lazio will be entitled to compensation and are seeking over £3m, but West Ham are hoping to settle on around £1.5m for a versatile defender who started all three of Switzerland’s Euro 2008 matches.
Kosovo-born Behrami, whose Italian model girlfriend Elena Bonzanni should add some glamour to Upton Park, chose West Ham ahead of Palermo and Werder Bremen.
His arrival casts further uncertainty over Neill’s West Ham future.
Sportsmail revealed that City manager Mark Hughes was keen to revive their Blackburn partnership, and a move looks even likelier after the Australia defender was left in little doubt he would be competing for the right-back spot if he remained at Upton Park.
With just 12 months left on his contract, he seems sure to opt for a fresh start at Eastlands.

Looks like I just did my money on my sons new away strip with No. 2 on the back.
Here's another option! Lucas to the centre with Anton to the yids. Not sure I'm happy either way but if we were to keep one, I'd prefer the younger Anton.

It looks like we are replacing Zamora & Pantsil with Eidur & Behrami. 6.3M for the pair with possible 1m to come on top.
I don't think we will get rid of Neill - the daily mail is worse than the sun and if the story fits they'll print it. Never say never though I guess as the rumour does seem to be lingering.

I hope we don't get rid of Neill, he was solid last season. Interesting that we have Behrami now, that means the right side is covered. Just need that creative spark in the middle and we're sorted.
