A point you are missing Davros is Mutu tested positive for drugs which does not mean he had drugs before a game - it means he could have had drugs up to a week before the test - you don't get tested for a beer you had a week ago - it is unlikely that he turned up to play off his head but he in fact had a trace of a substance from a prior exploit. To me drug testing for something you did a few days ago is ludacrous and taking a liberty - it's like testing if you had a wank 3 days ago - little effect on now and nobody else's business IMO.
Yeah shame I can't be there today - better get back to the study

In today's gutter Press at home ( the UK ), we've been linked with Steven Carr again, Djibril Cisse, Shorey all as incoming with Ferdinand to the Y*ds, Zamora to Fulham & QPR & Ashton to any Club that want him..
Oh & that Lanzafame Fella has joined Palermo from Juve in a very confusing Player plus cash plus loan deal..

Thought Ashton had agreed to extend to 5 yrs. Don't care for any of those players incoming except somewhat disappointed on missing out on the Italian kid but hopefully it's a sign of the likes we want to sign.

I'm not too fussed about missing out on the Italian Kid. I think a one year loan for a kid just to give him some experience for him to go back to Juventus next year has little long term merit. I wouldn't like him to get in the team ahead of Sears as surely they would be similar level. Would be pointless getting him in only to have to loan Sears out.

I don't really know what level the Italian was at if i'm honest but a years loan didn't really do it for me either..
But saying that, look at the impact that little 32 who plays for Man Ure now had for us ??

Barcelona's Eidur Gudjohnsen could return to the Premier League for just £4 million. It is understood that his relationship with Icelandic owner Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson has convinced him to move to West Ham.
Well well well for 4 million i think this would be a good bit of buisness ,certaily better than WASTING it on Bresciano.
Is being reported in a couple of the tabloids, what you all reckon?

Get him in.
Still undecided on Bresciano. Could be useful but think better out there for us to get.

I would take both.....along with a decent LB and cover for CB's.

Read on BBC today Pompey is also interested in Gudjohnsen, Roma is interested in nabbing Ljumberg and QPR are trying to sign Zamora.

Pompey in for Gudjohnsen? Fuck me, Harry won't be happy till he has signed half of the strikers out there. So he is after Crouch and Gudjohnsen and already has Defoe, Nugent, Utaka, Kanu and Baros?
And its not that I want Gudjohnsen to join us, i couldn't give a toss to be honest.
Anyone heard about the swap plus cash deal with the yids? I don't want Anton to leave, but if they give us Lennon they can have him IMO.

I don't ever want to see another West Ham academy player at Spurs regardless of how good the deal is.

Amen to that. TBH I fucken hate losing academy players to anybody! Always shits me. Spend all the time and effort on developing players then sell. Might be for a good price but we never do fuck all with the dough anyway and we never will. Gotta stick with the youth IMO.

Eyjólfsson deal confirmed
Filed: Tuesday, 1st July 2008
By: Staff Writer
Hólmar Örn Eyjólfsson's former club have confirmed his departure to West Ham United.
On Saturday, KUMB.com revealed that the Hammers had finally captured the young defender who had been linked with a number of top European clubs in recent months. Eyjólfsson's current club, Handknattleiksfélag Kópavogs (or HK to you and us) have since confirmed the news on their website hk.is, stating that negotiations had been completed successfully.
The 17-year-old - who has represented his country at all levels up to and including under-21 - admitted that it was a 'dream' move, and whilst not expected to be ready for the first team for some time is the first of many exciting young prospects the Hammers hope to bring in to the club in the near future as they attempt to emulate the Arsenal and Tottenham models.
Eyjólfsson, who is viewed as one of the brightest young prospects in Europe made his first team debut for HK at the age of 16. He initially impressed United staff during a week's trial back in February. Talking in the days following his week in the capital, he said:
"Alan Curbishley told me he wanted me to join the club and that he would talk to my father about it as soon as I went home. It was a great experience and a good learning curve."
Latest news suggests that Eyjólfsson is set to fly in to London on Tuesday before being unveiled by West Ham later this week.
