Another lack-lustre, uncommitted, technically bad, leaderless display from our captain. This wanker is taking us down. Don't bother trying to keep him at the end of the season as he obviously wants out. Hope this all backfires and he gets dropped for the World Cup. He doesn't deserve to go and is a liability. HATE players like this.

Probably dont dislike him as much as that but I do agree that He is one player that we should get all we can for. Robert Green as well, over rated IMO, we have some good keepers coming up and we could use that money on a more attcking option. We should use some of that money to shore up Scott Parker for the rest of his career. Scott Parker is the first picked every week for mine and should be our captain. Pay him mandsomely and build a side around him.

Totally 100% agree with you david.. I wouldn't have complaints if i found out they where paying Parker 100k pounds a week aslong as he keeps doing what hes doing, he has to be one of the best holding midfielders in the world at the moment and how he hasnt even had a look in for the england squad for 2010 is beyond me. WAKE UP CAPPELLO!!

I have been thinking exactly that for a little while now. If your captain isn't willing to mark their main striker (Bolton and Chelsea) and doesn't do much talking or yelling, he doesn't deserve to be captain. I've gone on before about he shouldn't be captain and that Parker should be and the last couple of game emphasise that point. Might be too late to change that but def get rid of him next season for as much as can.
Neill and Lomas were great captains for barking instructions and getting the team behind them. Not sure Parker is that good at barking instructions but at least he leads by example.
Also said before I'd prefer Jaaskalainen from Bolton over Green and may get some extra dosh to boot.

As this season comes to a close, it's looking more like we should have sold Upson and kept Collins. Agreed & agreed. Think if Green goes (and I believe he will) we should aim for Hart. Upson to City for Onuoha and Hart

As this season comes to a close, it's looking more like we should have sold Upson and kept Collins. Doesn't matter how old they are if still performing and age is even less important regarding keepers as by a number a good keepers who played til in their forties. Green makes some great saves and isn't a bad keeper but he doesn't boss his area and is not good at all at crosses. He should have done better for the last goal. Don't know much about Hart or Onuoha. Nonetheless, Upson out at end of season.

Dav, I completely agree about Green not bossing his goal and being poor with crosses but I also think he could still turn into a brilliant keeper if someone could instill those qualities into him. The areas where he is deficient are more about confidence than technique I reckon? Doesn't help having Mr Silent around as centre half.
Hart belongs to Citeh but is on loan to Brum and is arguably the best young keeper around right now. Onuoha can't regularly get into Citeh's side right now but is a decent solid centre half, I.M.O.

A straight swap of Upson and Green for Tevez. Tevez has the "X" factor and we just dont have that. Diamanti? not quite. DiCanio? Yes. I dont think we have had player that excites the fans and wins the games with one touch since. The one in a million.
Bring back Tevez

Upson to City for Onuoha and Hart ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I like the concept. I agree that Upson has been pretty much shite lately. Re Green, I like him & think he is a great shot stopper, but also agree that he does look suss to a cross on more occasions than make me feel comfortable. I didn't use to rate Hart, but I now think he is an excellent keeper. I also rate Onuoha, but doesn't he have injury problems (I'm really not sure). Both guys are young, & if fit, have long careers ahead of them. For now though, we are stuck with what we have & we need everyone to lift & MAINTAIN a high standard for the end of the season & do everything possible to stay where we belong.

Zola out I would take Tevez back for Green and Upson anytime. But the only way we'll get someone with the X factor at the moment is if we sign Leona Lewis
