If we play with the same attitude, guts, determination and passion that was on display against City, we can win this, albeit narrowly.
If the team that played against Boro turns up, we'll lose.
I'm going for a draw, 1-1, but really think this is a game we can win.
Prove me wrong fellas ;-)
COYI !!!

Win for me, but only if CC pulls up ok after his injury.

Shit. There you go. I said it again. A lot depends on CC.

This is a vital game for both clubs, with 1 point separating us & Fulham breathing down our necks with their catch up game included before the next round. A result is essential. I am going for a 1 goal victory (1-0 or 2-1). Providing we can stop Zaki & Mido, I think we can snatch something up front. We still badly lack that killer blow up front. We seem to want to Arsenal our goals & put on 45 passes to score without actually shooting & we are not good enough up front for that. It was a pleasant surprise to see Savio take that snap shot that resulted in the goal last week. I think he HAS to start. If CC is bobbled, then I'd play him up front, if not, then out wide.
COYI's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree Bog, Savio HAS to start.
Mido is an injury doubt, so fingers crossed but Zaki is dangerous.
If Kovac continues in midfield then that will free Scotty up and he's looked like scoring more in the last cupla weeks.
They're very strong in the air at the back so we're gonna need Cole badly unless DDM wears stilts!
COYI !!

Hmm...How long ago does the first game of the season feel??... WHU 2 Wigan 1 - and Dean Ashton got both!

I reckon a draw would be a decent result this time around. 1-1 with Collison to score the second half equaliser.

Feel quite confident for a win in this one 2-1 assuming the same determination is shown as in the City game.

How good does 7th feel.......
We finished 10th last season, we dont have a bad squad. Loving Parker and Collison at the moment.
City are shit but Wigan wont be easy.
1-1

considering wigan have only got 4 points from the last 6 games I reckon our boys will be in a better moral position going into this match.

I like this line-up. Wigan imo have had a similar season to us. Win a few on the trot. Win/draw against good sides. Lose to teams should of won. But I'm going for a 3 -1 win to us!!
